Window connection tape EXTERIOR, white 1 SK, 25m

Window connection tape EXTERIOR, white 1 SK, 25m consists of a plasterable fleece composite with 1 self-adhesive strip, optionally laminated with butyl strips on one side or alternating sides. The exterior connection foil serves for fast and secure exterior, driving rain-proof and diffusion-open sealing of window connection joints and is used as a plasterable exterior seal.

All profile openings, e.g., cut edges of extensions and window sill profiles or continuous grooves in attached roller shutter boxes, must be sealed with sealant.

• The surfaces to be bonded on the window frame and on the masonry must be clean and dry, free of dust, grease, and release agents (e.g., as with new plastic profiles).
• The surface coating on wooden windows should be several days old, as otherwise escaping solvents can reduce tape adhesion. If necessary, dirt should be removed with degreasing cleaning agents. Attention must be paid to material compatibility.
• For highly absorbent, crumbling substrates, pre-treat the building structure with an adhesive primer, e.g., DRG spray primer, DRG spray adhesive, or solvent-free primer.
• In case of breakouts in the masonry, a clean smooth render must be applied again.
• When bonding, the tapes must be applied to the window frame without creases, parallel, and pressed down continuously. At the corners, allow the tapes to overlap and bond them to be driving rain-proof or airtight.
• Movement absorption must be ensured by sufficient loop formation in the area of the connection joint.
• Minimum adhesive width on the window 15 mm, on the wall at least 30 mm
• The sealing tape must be sufficiently bonded to the masonry in the area of the subsequent plaster covering (rule of thumb: at least 75% of the contact surface).
