Window Tape VARIO, white, full surface SA, changeable, 25m is used for sealing the window connection joint. Due to its variable Sd-value, this film can be used both indoors and outdoors. Areas of application: Window and door sealing for interior and exterior use.

• All profile openings, e.g., cut edges of extensions and window sill profiles or continuous grooves in surface-mounted roller shutter boxes, must be sealed with sealant.
• The surfaces to be bonded on the frame and masonry must be clean and dry, free of dust, grease, and release agents (e.g., from new plastic profiles).
• The surface coating on wooden windows should be several days old, as otherwise escaping solvents can reduce tape adhesion. If necessary, dirt should be removed with degreasing cleaning agents. Material compatibility must be observed.
• For highly absorbent, crumbling substrates, pre-treat the building structure with an adhesion promoter, e.g., DRG spray primer, DRG spray adhesive, or solvent-free primer.
• In case of breakouts in the masonry, a clean smooth finish must be created again.
• When bonding, the tapes on the frame must be applied wrinkle-free, parallel, and pressed down continuously. At the corners, overlap the tapes and bond them rain-proof or airtight.
• Movement absorption must be ensured by sufficient looping in the area of the connection joint.
• Minimum adhesive width on the window 15 mm, on the wall at least 30 mm
• The sealing tape must be sufficiently bonded to the masonry in the area of the later plaster cover (rule of thumb: at least 75% of the contact surface).
