All profile openings, e.g., cut edges of extensions and window sill profiles or continuous grooves in surface-mounted roller shutter boxes, must be sealed with sealant. The surfaces to be bonded on the window frame and on the masonry must be clean and dry, free of dust, grease, and release agents (e.g., as found on new plastic profiles).
