Window connection tape OUTSIDE, white, full-surface self-adhesive, 25m consists of a plasterable fleece composite with 1 self-adhesive strip, optionally laminated with butyl strips on one or both sides. The exterior connection foil is used for quick and secure exterior, driving rain-proof and diffusion-open sealing of window connection joints and is used as a plasterable exterior seal.

• All profile openings, e.g. cut edges of extensions and window sill profiles or continuous grooves in attached roller shutter boxes, must be sealed with sealant.
• The surfaces to be bonded on the frame and masonry must be clean and dry, free of dust, grease and release agents (e.g. on new plastic profiles).
• The surface coating on wooden windows should be several days old, as any solvents still escaping can reduce the adhesive strength of the tape. If necessary, remove dirt with fat-dissolving cleaning agents. Pay attention to material compatibility.
• For highly absorbent, crumbling substrates, pre-treat the building structure with an adhesive primer, e.g. DRG spray primer, DRG spray adhesive or solvent-free primer.
• In the event of breakouts in the masonry, a clean smooth screed must be re-applied.
• When bonding, the tapes must be applied to the frame without wrinkles, parallel and pressed through. At the corners, overlap the tapes and bond them to be driving rain-proof or airtight.
• Movement absorption must be ensured by sufficient loop formation in the area of the connection joint.
• Minimum adhesive width on the window 15 mm, on the wall at least 30 mm
• The sealing tape must be sufficiently bonded to the masonry in the area of the subsequent plaster cover (rule of thumb: at least 75% of the contact surface).
